2025 April - Upcoming Feature: Units in People Chart
We're excited to announce an upcoming feature, the Units in People Chart. The update makes it easier to get a clear overview of the organisation by filtering the chart to show employees, units, or both views combined.
Final Adjustments: We are finalising the feature by addressing the last set of issues to ensure a smooth deployment.
Filtered Connections: The first version of this feature requires customers to have a filtered connection configured for the organisation information (table). This setup is a technical prerequisite to ensure that the unit data displayed in the People Chart is accurate and will be handled correctly. Without a filtered connection, the feature will not function as intended.
Customer Launch Plan
Phased Rollout: The launch will occur in customer groups to ensure a smooth transition and dedicated support. For each set of customers, the new Data Structure Mapping fields will appear in the system, and we ask you to please NOT make any changes. We will do it for you.
Timeline: The Units will be enabled for the first groups of customers in May.
Personal Communication: Customers included in the initial rollout group will receive direct communication via email with detailed instructions and timelines.
A short recap of Units: The Units require the organisation levels to be configured as filtered connection fields in Sympa. The People Chart displays only employees by default. However, users with the appropriate permissions can customise their view to include employees, employees and units, or units only. This selection can be made conveniently from the top-right corner of the People Chart view.
Admins can enable the unit view for their organisation by assigning the required permission to a role, such as the default role, in the Roles settings.
